Tina Marie's History

Tina Marie began following her passion for dogs at a young age. With her first German Shepherd Dog at her side, she began training and competing in a variety of dog sports, including American Kennel Club trials, competitions and the sport of Schutzhund.

Tina Marie began to actively pursue professional certifications in the canine-related field. First attending and graduating from Rocky Mountain School of Animal Acupressure and Massage, becoming skilled in canine bodywork and massage and learning about the physical aspects of canines.

Studying and extensive testing for certification as a professional dog trainer came next through the Certification Council of Professional Dog Trainers. Desiring to take her knowledge to the next level, Tina Marie applied to and was accepted into the University of Washington’s Applied Animal Behavior Program where she graduated with a Certification in Behavior.

Tina Marie sought additional certifications including Trick Dog Instructor and Evaluator for the American Kennel Club’s Canine Good Citizen and STAR Puppy programs.

If your dog is experiencing some issues, here are some of the ways Tina Marie can help:

Behavior

Canines can sometimes face challenges that develop into behavioral issues. Behavior Modification can help positively address those issues and work towards building a healthier relationship with your dog. The techniques used are based on scientific principles of learning and grounded in a positive approach.

Dog Enrichment

Brain games, mental stimulation, puzzle challenges, tricks, and enrichment are some terms used to describe a fun, positive approach to burning off extra energy while learning. Enrichment is a great way to build a strong relationship with your dog as he/she gains confidence while learning in a positive manner.

Massage

The benefits of massage can enhance your canine friend’s wellness. It increases range of motion, lowers levels of muscle soreness, and improves circulation. Massage can help aging or convalescing dogs feel more comfortable while speeding healing and recovery time. It can provide “downtime” for working or service dogs and improve athletic ability. It is wonderful for puppies and helps rescue dogs transition into their new homes.
